The National Association of Scholars is proud to host Dr. Wilfred McClay as part of our new Future of Freedom Lecture Series. This series will continue the work of our podcasts and webinars exploring the various thinkers who have been critical to our understanding of the intellectual right. This new series will continue these discussions through forward-focused lectures on policy and culture.
Join us for this special in person event at our New York City office on Tuesday, January 21, at 5 pm ET for the first lecture in our Future of Freedom Series.
This event will feature Dr. Wilfred M. McClay, the Victor Davis Hanson Chair in Classical History and Western Civilization at Hillsdale College. He previously served as the G.T. and Libby Blankenship Chair in the History of Liberty at the University of Oklahoma, and the Director of the Center for the History of Liberty. Dr. McClay served for eleven years on the National Council on the Humanities and the advisory board for the National Endowment for the Humanities. He is currently a member of the U.S. Commission on the Semiquincentennial, which has been charged with planning the celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday in 2026. McClay is the author of numerous books, including Land of Hope: An Invitation to the Great American Story.
