Ms. Martin is an adjunct instructor in the College of Science and Humanities at Husson University and a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of History at the University of Notre Dame. She researches early modern Spanish science and medicine, with a general interest in how human beings engage and define the natural world and their place within it. As the 2019 Fraser Barron scholar, Ms. Martin will present findings from research undertaken with this scholarship, which continued her investigation of equestrian culture and medicine during the Spanish Renaissance.
