NAS partners with The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization to host four courses on the American republic.

National Association of Scholars

New York, NY, January 10, 2022—The National Association of Scholars (NAS) is partnering with The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization (AHI) to offer four courses on the American republic.

These courses include “Thomas Jefferson as Politician and President,” “The Struggle Over the Constitution,” “Witness, an American Classic,” and “Revolt of the Elites.” These courses are intended to provide audiences with perspectives on the American way of life from the nation’s founding to the near-present day.

“Partnering with AHI gives NAS the opportunity to teach perspectives of American history commonly overlooked,” said NAS Director of Research David Randall. “The books used in these courses will illustrate how many of today’s political divides have emerged and how a handful of individuals have managed to overcome such divisions.”

These courses are open to all individuals interested in the topics discussed. There is no requirement to be a student, member, or affiliate of either organization to sign up for any course.

NAS looks forward to the start of these courses and encourages its members to sign up and register. For more information and course descriptions, please visit the program homepage or contact Bob Paquette, president of AHI at [email protected].

NAS is a network of scholars and citizens united by a commitment to academic freedom, disinterested scholarship, and excellence in American higher education. Membership in NAS is open to all who share a commitment to these broad principles. NAS publishes a journal and has state and regional affiliates. Visit NAS at www.nas.org.
