Video: Title IX Tyranny

National Association of Scholars

Title IX is the 1972 Congressional ban on sex discrimination in federally funded education which is now used to impose left wing political goals in schools. Initially a seemingly benign ban on sex discrimination, Title IX has become a feminist weapon of choice, first to spuriously claim an epidemic of campus sexual assault and then to punish men for this alleged conduct, without due process in campus kangaroo courts.

Most recently, the Biden Administration is twisting Title IX again with a proposed rule to impose gender ideology and acceptance of same sex orientation on students and faculty. This means that those who question the morality of homosexual behavior, including on religious grounds, or those who question the bathroom and pronoun wars, will be accused of illegal sex discrimination under Title IX. This is an abuse never imagined by those who originally supported Title IX as a simple nondiscrimination law.

In this webinar, National Association of Scholars Policy Director Teresa R. Manning discusses the history and abuses of Title IX with policy experts Sarah Parshall Perry, Senior Legal Fellow for the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Heritage Foundation, and Doreen Denny, Vice President of Government Relations for Concerned Women for America.

In addition to listening to the recording, please make your voice heard by submitting a public comment opposing Biden's proposed rule by September 12. You can submit a public comment by clicking the green box on the right-hand side of this webpage.
