Save the Date: NAS Conference and Dinner 2013

National Association of Scholars

We are excited to announce the date and location of NAS’s national conference and dinner:

A Mighty Maze: Charting the Future of American Higher Education

March 1-2, 2013
Harvard Club
27 West 44th Street
New York, NY 10036

The title is inspired by a line from Alexander Pope's poem "An Essay on Man: Epistle 1":

Expatiate free o'er all this scene of man;

A mighty maze! but not without a plan.

American higher education has become a maze of the meaner things: illiberal ideologies, broken promises, and intellectual default. Our conference will summon a larger, liberating view of what higher education can do. We have a plan. We will convene to address important issues in higher education today and to celebrate NAS’s twenty-fifth anniversary.

More details are coming soon.
