Ashley Thorne, the Director for the Center for the Study of the Curriculum, will speak about campus reactions to bias incidents at Oberlin and at other colleges. Her lecture is based on her forthcoming article, “Staged Emergencies: How Colleges React to Bias Incidents” in Academic Questions (March 2014, Volume 27, Issue 1, pp 28-47).

The lecture will take place at 3:00PM in the afternoon, and an evening dinner will follow.

If you would like more information or wish to attend, please RSVP to Ohio Association of Scholars President George Dent at [email protected].
