Peter Wood to Debate Randall Kennedy on Affirmative Action at UMass

National Association of Scholars

NAS president Peter Wood will debate Harvard Law professor and author Randall Kennedy on the topic of affirmative action. The University Union at the University of Massachusetts will host the event, which takes place on April 12 from 7:00-8:30 P.M. in the Student Union ballroom at the University of Massachusetts.

According to the University Union's website, "The Union is to be instituted as a means for discussion and dialogue on issues that affect the nation and the world. The Union is not to be an outlet for any particular group. Instead, the Union is an outlet for discussion and debate." The Union is comprised of both faculty and students and has hosted debates on Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, Israel and Palestine, and American politics in the past.
