I am pleased to introduce the most recent addition to the National Association of Scholars staff, Marina Ziemnick. She joined NAS as the new communications associate on November 15, 2021.

As communications associate, Marina will be responsible for the NAS website, editing the Association’s press releases and articles, and ensuring that the organization’s communications remain within its brand and editorial guidelines.

Marina holds a BA in Political Philosophy with a minor in Music from Patrick Henry College. She previously worked as a Program Manager for the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI), where she organized undergraduate conferences and facilitated ISI’s campus lecture program. Originally from Virginia, Marina now lives in Wilmington, Delaware, with her husband, Kyle. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing piano, and exploring new cuisines.

On joining NAS, Marina said:

Over the past couple of years, I've had the opportunity to speak with faculty at colleges across the country about their struggles to pursue truth and knowledge in the midst of a toxic, ideologically-driven academic environment. The challenges these scholars face are real and deep-rooted—and all too often unaddressed. I believe that the work of the National Association of Scholars has a tangible effect on the lives of students and faculty alike, and I am honored to join the NAS team in its efforts to preserve the free exchange of ideas in the academy and to encourage meaningful dialogue centered around the pursuit of truth.

Please join me in welcoming Marina to the NAS staff. She may be reached at [email protected].
