Event: New York Affiliate to Host Lecture by Sol Stern

The New York Association of Scholars (NYAS) and their chapter organization, the CUNY Association of Scholars, invite all interested parties to hear Sol Stern talk about "The Great Education Fraud or Billions of Dollars for Not Much Bang" in New York City on Sunday, November 20.  This is the fifth event that NYAS, an affiliate of the National Association of Scholars, has hosted in 2011.

Mr. Stern, the author of Breaking Free: Public School Lessons and the Imperative of School Choice, is a contributing editor of City Journal and a Manhattan Institute senior fellow. He focuses the majority of his research on education reform and his articles have been published in several prestigious publications.  A graduate of the City College of New York, Mr. Stern earned an MA in political Science from the State University of Iowa and also completed further graduate work at the University of California at Berkeley.
