Can Arne Duncan make our Ed Schools Good?

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan has spoken about the mediocrity of most education schools and says he is committed to improving them. I'm skeptical. I don't think he really understands what is wrong with them and his plan of action is unlikely to effect any significant improvement, much less stop the flow of weak and confused young people into the teaching ranks. In this week's Clarion Call, I explain why.
